Do you have a dress code?

There is no particular code of dress. We want you to be comfortable. Dress preferences go from “dress-up” to business casual to jeans/t-shirts. We don’t care about the outside but rather the inside.

Can I still come to Grace if I haven’t been to church in a long time?

No big deal, we don’t even care if you have never been to church. Come and experience God’s love and grace.

I’m not Lutheran does that matter?

Martin Luther wasn’t even a Lutheran in the beginning. Don’t let a name keep you from joining us for worship.

Will I feel on the spot if I attend your church?

We certainly hope not. You will be greeted at the front door and ask to sign our visitor book. When you enter the sanctuary you will be given a Worship Bulletin. The bulletin contains a basic worship order -words to all songs, Bible verses read by a member, sermon topic, words to any responsive readings, time of prayer, and other weekly information. We don’t put our visitors on the spot.

I would like to participate in Holy Communion, is that allowed?

Please review the following questions.

Do I admit that I am a sinful human being in need of God’s love and forgiveness?
Do I trust that Jesus is God’s Son and my personal Savior?
Do I believe that with this bread and wine I receive His real presence, His body and blood, given to me for the assurance of His forgiveness and presence?
Do I desire by His Holy Spirit’s power to live for Him?

We practice Close Fellowship at the Lord’s Supper. As a member congregation of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, we believe that each participant communing with us is making a statement of their faith in accordance with the questions above. Therefore, we share a closeness in our faith together at the Lord’s Supper. If you share this closeness with us, please join us at the Lord’s Table. If you have any questions, we look forward to answering them so you may celebrate with us a close relationship around the real presence of Christ.

I have children. Do you have special activities for them?

Children of all ages are so very special to us here at Grace. We have some awesome programs for our children and youth. Check Discovering Grace (hyperlink) for the current kids stuff.

I need someone to talk with about issues in my life, is there someone to help me?

No one is an island when it comes to life’s difficulties. Our pastor would be your first stop. Evaluating the situation will help in determining how best we can help. Your well being and healing is our Christian desire.
