February 9th at 6:30pm the Youth will host their Annual Valentine's Dinner Dance and Silent Auction.
Live Music, Dancing and Great Food and Fun for All. Be there to Bid on Items donated by Local merchants and members. Get your tickets at the table by the door. Invite your friends. These funds will go to support our Youth Group and their Mission Work.

Connecting Friends to Christ - In Our Community. In association with the LCMS Ablaze campaign, we embraced in a five week series to introduce Jesus to our friends, family, co-workers and neighbors.
On Friendship Day September 16th, a designated fellowship hour was held from 9:30 to 10:30 and provided a time to meet our guests and share Christ's love. A coffee bar was provided for the fellowship. We had 56 guest visit us that day. It was a true Blessing.

The Lutheran Missouri Synod and Missions International are partnering with local congregations to raise $20,000 that will bring fresh water to the Sukuma tribe in Tanzania. The mission is to provide wells for 5 villages. Your contribution of the cost of 3 sodas a week for a month can give thousands water for a lifetime and the message of Christ's love for eternity. Please make your check payable to Mid-South Dist. Hearts for Jesus and drop it in the "well" in the Narthex. If you have additional questions, please contact Jo Baker, Cindy Esala or Ann Sands.

Shametrics is the mother to Kadeja, age 12, Christopher, age 12 and Moesha, age 10 and live in Orange Mound. The Social Ministry Committee is organizing a collection of specific school supplies to assemble school kits for Lutheran World Relief until September 15th. We plan to put a minimum of 50 school kits together for this important project. Please look for the brochure in your bulletin listing the very specific supplies needed.
